The HPS Performance 3" Intake Cold Side Charge Pipe (Part #17-107) is a reliable upgrade for BMW E90, E92, and E93 models with the N55B30 engine. During testing on a 2011 BMW 335i, the factory charge pipe showed significant wear after just 60,000 miles, with a broken throttle body connector flange. HPS designed this charge pipe to address these weaknesses, offering a durable, high-performance solution. Constructed from mandrel-bent 6063 aluminum with a CNC-machined billet flange, it delivers improved airflow and increased air volume while ensuring long-lasting reliability. The kit includes HPS high-temperature 4-ply reinforced silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps for a secure connection to the intercooler.
This charge pipe also features a 1/8" NPT bung for optional methanol injection, sensors, or nitrous systems, with a plug included for flexibility. A new throttle body O-ring is provided to replace the factory part, which often deteriorates over time. Installation is straightforward, requiring no permanent modifications, ECU reflash, or triggering of a CEL light.
